IN THE BEGINNING ...
We met as younglings in year 8 of high school in 2011. I was taken by his incredibly calm demeanour, quirky sense of humour and genuine love for people. Apparently the feelings were mutual! We were and still are best friends.
LEADING UP TO THE BIG DAY ...
Oh man oh man! Hot tip! COVID weddings are hard but worth it!! We had our day booked August 2020 (STILL GOT MARRIED) but could only have 20 ppl witness our marriage. Pushed through and got our big special redo in August 2022 with 120ppl after 3 reschedules.
ON THE DAY ...
We are so grateful for the love and support we've received our whole relationship, so this redo'22 we were focussed on loving up our nearest and dearest. We walked down the aisle together for our vow renewal and danced our butts off at the reception.
ON REFLECTION ...
Toppest tip for weddings during a pandemic: still get married! The party can wait. Having each other fully over the 2 years of reschedules, chaos and disappointments was so rewarding. It's the best thing we have ever done - marriage is a wonderful gift.
LOOKING FORWARD ...
There are no words to describe how safe, loved & beautiful I feel with this dude. We're so happy we got married under God, celebrate it with others and do life together every day. It's an honour to be his wife/bestie. Everything else is a bonus!!!
